Welcome to IlluminationCinema.com!
Hello! Welcome! Come have a seat. Oh, it appears you are already sitting. Well then, I'll just carry on.
So I can imagine some of you are coming here and you're all like "WHAAAAAAT". But don't worry. I'm here to help with your confusion. So lets get started with a few questions you might have.
What is Illumination Cinema?
Illumination Cinema is a production company formed by Christopher Strong, Jamie Zin and I (Tyler W. Moore). The three of us have collaborated a few times and all love the art of film. So why not join each other in an effort to better each other's work? I mean, come on. If you want a decent description of who we are, I'd suggest checking out the About section. Very informative.
I don't know who any of you dateless butt-sweat factories are. What kind of stuff do you do?
We try to make a variety of projects. Right now we're running an animated webseries. But we also work in live action. In fact, we mostly work in live action. We create series, short films and eventually feature films. It's all very exciting.
Also, I'd lay off on the insults if I were you. You're the one who looks like a melting John Goodman action figure. #SorryNotSorry
But hey! Some of you might already be familiar with our work. So those first few paragraphs were a total waste of your time. Let's get down to some of the more important points.
A lot of things are going to change with how we handle things. You see, something important to know about us is that we aren't "YouTubers". Sure, we use YouTube. YouTube is a fine medium, there is a copious amount of respectable filmmakers using it as a platform for their work. But in our opinion, it's not the right place for all of our work.
So what does that mean? Well, when it comes to distributing our work online, most things are going to be based around this website. We'll mostly use YouTube for posting our animated content due to our partnership with Channel Frederator.
When it comes to our films, we feel that working for months, even years on something and then just posting it online is a little anticlimactic. So we sort of prefer taking it to festivals first, if possible.
This website is still a bit of a work in progress. I wanted to take a bit more time with it, but things picked up a bit faster than anticipated. So here it is! Browse around a bit. Like, Follow, Subscribe on our stuff and just generally stay tuned for more. We've got a lot planned over the next couple years. I think it'll be pretty cool as it all goes down.
