Jillian Pulaski is an all-around sound enthusiast as well as a writer, producer, and director. Jillian began writing before she could even write, dictating her stories to her mom who wrote them down for her. She spent most of her childhood writing, acting, and obsessing over books, music, philosophy, math, science, sewing…. anything and everything that her brain decided to fixate on. During high school, she was finally introduced to and fell in love with sound production. She decided to pursue a combination of as many varied interests as possible through the fantastical art of filmmaking. After wrestling with her "Jill-of-all-trades" tendencies, Jillian came to mostly focus on sound production, writing, producing, and directing.
The past three years have found Jillian on many adventures (and misadventures) in the world of film. After working together on several projects, another filmmaker, Ciara Duarte, introduced Jillian to Illumination Cinema at the beginning of their feature film project PERSONAL HISTORY. Jillian joined them on the project as a production sound mixer and again as an assistant sound editor. She found the experience completely wonderful, so when she later received an invitation to join the team, Jillian enthusiastically said yes.
