Yo everyone! There are a few things to cover here today. The biggest thing is that we've released a few more promotional materials for Living After Midnight on the film's official website (which can be seen here). The most interesting one is a sneak peek clip. It's a scene from fairly early on in the film. I think it gives a pretty good insight as to who each of the characters are and how the interact with one another.
Hope you enjoy all of it. Also, if you like the music by the other artists, you should totally buy their albums. They're all pretty great. Again, all of that stuff can be found on the film's official website, right HERE!
In other news, we've released a few podcasts. In case you've missed them we released Deadpool, David Fincher (Part 1), David Fincher (Part 2) and House of Cards: Season 4. All HERE, of course. Next week is Paul Thomas Anderson. So that'll be great. -Tyler W. Moore

On Twitter we announced we would be launching the trailer for "LIVING AFTER MIDNIGHT" on the 19th. But since we won't be recording our podcast on Deadpool until next week, we had a spot open to post something and decided to release this early. We're very excited to finally make this available. This might of course bring up the question of, "When and where is this coming out?". The answer is still that we don't know. This is the annoying stage of making a movie. You have to worry about how people are going to see it. Not just the pre-established audience, but new people as well. Another concern is trying to make our money back. Obviously, no different than any other project, I did this because I wanted to. Not for monetary gain. But the possibility of making back our investment would be great. These are all factors that play into it, along with many others. We're still waiting to see how a few things pan out. I think that next month we will be able to start moving forward with a more concrete plan. The goal being to get it out in one way or another by late spring or early summer. It all depends what method we choose to pursue. We've also launched a website for the film: http://www.livingaftermidnightmovie.com/ For fans of the podcast, we released a few new episodes this month. One over director, Brad Bird's filmography and the other about the new Coen Brothers' movie "Hail, Caesar!". Like I said before, we will be doing Deadpool next week. I've already seen it. I'm just waiting on the other(s). Wait! How did I just word that!? Anyway, lots of great stuff coming up soon. Stay turned!
-Tyler W. Moore Two little pieces of news today. First, there are two new stills for Living After Midnight out today. As of right now we are still waiting on some info regarding release. We should know what our plan of action is here in a couple months. Also! Last week we put up a new episode of the podcast in which we talk about "The Big Short". Listen to that here!
Next time we're talking about Brad Bird movies. That's exciting. I'm excited. That's all for now! -Tyler Happy New Year, everyone!
I know what you guys are thinking. "Man, 2015 hardly had anything besides podcasts". Well, you aren't wrong. We released a short film and the finale to our series at the beginning of the year and not much after that. Not for lack of effort though. We've been doing a lot of work on our other projects here behind the scenes. Mainly, "Living After Midnight" and "Time Less". Both of which WILL be coming this year! We have a lot of plans for the new year. We're really trying to make some big strides forward. I hope that you guys don't mind the podcasts being our main source of content. It's obviously not our main focus. In all reality it's just the easiest thing we can put out on a semi-regular basis. I'm happy with them and I think they are getting better as time goes on. We have a pretty good schedule planned for podcasts this year. Hopefully we'll be able to follow it fairly well. Kicking off 2016 is the 8th film by Quentin Tarantino, "The Hateful Eight". Hope you enjoy!
Unfortunately, without saying exactly what it was, I did get a plot point wrong in the episode. I guess I had some sort of brain fart in the time between seeing it and recording. We'll address it at the end of the next episode. Which should be The Hateful Eight. Possibly something else. We're not sure yet. Also, it goes without saying that (as always) we get into MAJOR spoiler territory with our discussion. So be warned. In other news! Here is the first still from Living After Midnight! So enjoy that! All of that being said, this is probably our last blog post for the year. Hope you guys have a great holiday season and stay tuned for some new stuff in 2016. (We promise there things other than podcast coming, seriously!)
-Tyler W. Moore Hey everyone!
You may notice that the website looks slightly different. I'm slowly but surely trying to make it look nicer. This is sort of version 2.0. The biggest changes are the Home page, the About page and the fact that the Films section is no longer separated. That was mostly done because it seemed a little excessive to have them in categories seeing as we only have 4 major projects as of right now. Anyway, there may be more changes in the future. I think this is fine for now though. Let us know what you think. Additionally, the second part of our Miyazaki podcast is now up on iTunes. This time we're covering "Spirited Away", "Howl's Moving Castle", "Ponyo" and "The Wind Rises". I'm not sure what the next episode will be yet. We wanted to cover "Trumbo" once it comes out. But it doesn't seem to be playing at the cinemas Chris and I go to. We'll see what happens. Lastly, we've just posted up the teaser poster for "Living After Midnight". So here's that... That's all for now. -Tyler W. Moore
Although I won't be taking much advantage of it. I've been building up all sorts of side projects that I can finally work on now. Fixing up this website is one of them. I mean, come on, look at this mess. I'll mostly be doing a lot of writing though.
But hey! Who cares about all of that? You guys were just looking for a podcast update, right? I mentioned we would be covering Miyazaki films next and that I only had one movie left to watch. I just watched it last night. So expect that in the next couple weeks. We should also have a special guest for that one. It'll be pretty cool. Anyway, I'm excited for the things we have in the pipeline. I hope you guys are excited. Are you excited. I am. I already said that though. More updates when something relevant happens! Bye! -Tyler W. Moore Here's that update video we promised. Some news, some announcements, etc. So it's been a couple months since we made the big reveal about the feature. We've been pretty quiet ever since. Mostly because we've been working non-stop on this film. I figured at some point I would make a big update video talking about everything we have in the works. But I haven't really had time to do that because I've been dedicating all of it to this one project.
Rest assured the time will come when I will put that video together and everything can get back on track. But the film is priority number 1 right now. What stage are we in with it? I'll probably get more into it later. But after quite a bit of additional shooting, we have been able to really dive into editing. At this point, we have a locked down cut and we are working on visual effects, color grading, music and sound. We're beginning to get into the not-so-fun stages as we feel so close to being done, but there is always one more thing to do (or a hundred things to do...). Anyway, I'm looking forward to being finished with it. I occasionally post updates on Twitter. So you can check that stuff out if you want. I should also note that we did manage to sneak in a new episode of the IC Movie Podcast for "Dragonball Z: Resurrection F". I know that was like, over a month ago. But WE DID IT! It's no where on the site (due to lack of time). But it is on iTunes. Oh yeah! We're on iTunes now, by the way. Listen to that here! Stick around for more updates soon-ish. VERY BIG UPDATES! GET HYPED! Well, don't get too hyped. But still...there should be a marginal level of anticipation. -Tyler W. Moore Hey everyone! Long time, no update. For a while now we've been saying that we've been working on something big but haven't been able to talk about. But it's finally that time. The big news is (as the title of the post clearly states), we made a feature-length film.
I only really bring up this project now because I don't want people to think we're slacking. This is where all of my attention is going. But needless to say, you won't be seeing this immediately. We still need to do some additional shooting, edit, sound, music, visual effects, etc. Even after that's done, there will still be a slight wait because we want to figure out how we'll be releasing this.
There will be more info on the film and behind the scenes stuff as time goes on. But as of right now, I need to rest for the next couple days to get over the horrors we've experienced the last six days... |
